I asked one of my clients once what kind of preparations she had to
make before going out of town for business travel. She said that she had to do
her daughters’ hair so that it would last until she got back, assure that meals
were cooked for the duration of her trip, get 4 days of clothing for her children
laid out, and after everybody else, pack herself also. Basically, she had to make
sure that the entire house was in operation and in order while she was gone.
I then asked what kind of preparations did her husband have to make
before going out of town, and she said that he packs his bags and he’s
ready to go.
There was a massive difference between her & his responsibility.
Is the responsibility level in your house even, or is it that understanding
that “women do that stuff?”
